WeMove.

A sports magazine that does things differently

weMove’s founders, based across Portland, Brighton and London, came to us with a vision for a magazine that approaches sport and movement differently – with a holistic view of fitness, health and physicality. The challenge was creating a distinctive brand that would stand apart in the crowded fitness publishing space while working effectively across three time zones.

We created a brand and design concept built on three carefully chosen typefaces and a distinctive mix of typography, iconography and illustration. The 164-page perfect-bound magazine used two paper stocks for a crafted, tactile finish, printed by award-winning Park Communications. We commissioned work from Polish illustrator Paweł Mildner and photographers including Alexander Berg, creating content that captured elite athletes at their most natural and unguarded.

Despite being a new editorial brand, weMove’s second issue secured Microsoft as a sponsor. The founders have since expanded into podcasting, and we’ve continued working with them on major projects including a Barclays commission, proving the brand’s ability to attract partnerships and evolve beyond print.
